Okami Delayed Until April 15th

Okami was given a release date for the 25th of this month, a pretty decent date, nothing too too big to compete against for its release on a new console with the great brush techniques found in the game now brought on the Wii with a more proper control using the Wiimote.

Now though, it seems to be a grim day, as not only do we have to deal with it being pushed back a few weeks until April 15th, but there is also the looming fact that it will be left in the dust of the wheels people will be buying in Mario Kart Wii (coming on the 11th of April), but be in direct competition with Wii Fit. I know Okami may not be dealing with the same customer that would be buying Wii Fit, however, if Mommy is buying your games, she may not have enough cash leftover from the Fit bundle to get your “old PS2 port” game (and add that to the fact that maybe some potential Okami purchasers might also be interested in Wii Fit).

In light of this bad news, IGN has posted up 5 new images to make you more depressed that the game is delayed (sorry for taking this good note to go out on and making it into a bad thing, these pics really are nice though).
