No Starcraft 2 in 2008

Believe it or not, Blizzard’s Worldwide Invitational was about more than the announcement of Diablo III. In fact, they talked about a lot of things at the weekend long event, including Starcraft 2. While a lot of the aspects of the game were discussed, Blizzard’s Executive VP Rob Pardo (no relation — joke grows old) told the crowd that the team still had a whole hell of a lot of work to do, and that only “about a third” of the campaign mode is complete.

That sound you just heard was the wailing of a million fanboys crying out in agony.

Oh well, I can wait for Starcraft 2. Hell, I still play the original Starcraft from time to time. What I need to pick back up is Diablo II…
