Ninja Gaiden II is still not coming to the PS3

Scans from the most recent issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (that’s what we old folk call EGM, kids) sparked quite a stir when EGM marked Tecmo’s Ninja Gaiden II as coming to both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Naturally, PlayStation 3 fans were nothing less than jovial at the news. But you see, there is one eenie, teenie little problem with Ninja Gaiden II coming to the PS3.

It’s published by Microsoft. Whoops.

No, Sony and Microsoft didn’t work out any kind of deal; EGM just plain made a flub. From an EGM editor’s post at NeoGAF:

This was just a mistake on our end (damn those late-night deadlines!). NG2–as far as I know–is only coming to the 360.

In any case, let it be known now and forever that not only is Ninja Gaiden II not coming to the PS3 any time soon, but as long as Microsoft publishes the title it will never come to the PS3. Never.
