New PSP SKU, Bundle Announced

Leipzig continues to bear sweet, succulent fruit for all Sony fanboys. In addition to the newly announced 160GB PS3, Sony has announced both a PSP redesign, and a new PSP bundle.

First, the redesign: The PSP-3000. No, it’s not the PSPhone, but in a way Sony has taken a step closer towards that fanboy pipedream. So, what are some of the new features of the PSP-3000? Well, for starters the PSP-3000 will keep the slim PSP-2000 design, while still having some pretty nice improvements: The LCD screen will have a higher contrast ratio and will allow us to see more pretty, pretty colors.

Also, all you Skype users will be happy to know that the PSP-3000 will have a built-in microphone.

Now, when will we be able to get our hands on the new PSP? Simple: When you go to pick up your Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters PSP Entertainment Pack. If you would rather have it in classic black, the new model will be released in stores to replace the stand-alone PSP-2000 models later this year.
