Namco Tempts Thee, be Strong and Do Not Lose Courage!

Today, Major Nelson posted an offer called “Extended Play Download Days” in which the following games are having some of their DLC discounted:

This is all well and good for some games, I mean, for whatever reason you don’t have Shivering Isles by now, this is the time to buy. The whole last half of the list is what stuck out to me. The unlock keys that are being sold as “Content.” Since the launch of the game, many sites already reported on this at the launch of the game (Destructoid, Xbox360Fanboy). In where you are buying the Xbox 360 Beautiful Katamari disc, but it seems you are not getting all the content on the disc unless you pay Namco more money.

Maybe Namco should have just made the game cost more than $40 at launch and provided the full game to you right away ? I’m not here to speculate on what they could have done though, I am only here to offer you a warning to continue not supporting this practice by not giving in when these levels are made cheaper. Namco are selling gimped and broken games, from Katamari all the way up to Soulcalibur IV (where you too can buy a maid outfit for your character to fight to the death) and Tales of Vesperia (don’t want to actually play?…then level up your character for a small fee).

This Katamari DLC is something just to build your strength… for the ultimate test, when Namco pulls out the big Darth Vader Soulcalibur IV DLC (despite them saying this won’t happen, at this point, Namco just cannot be trusted).
