Monopoly Passes Go on Xbox 360, PS2, PC and Wii

Electronic Arts has announced that Monopoly will be returning to the home console market for the first time since SNES and Genesis in a new game for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2 and PC cleverly called “Monopoly“.

Monopoly promises support for up to four-players, and also promises to be faster paced than previous Monopoly titles, which is good — I spent an entire weekend fending off Amanda’s unrelenting assaults on my properties. Now, there is one question that has not been addressed… where the hell is the online play? You’re bring a freaking board game to a home console with a $40 price tag, and you mention nothing of online play?!

I’m asking EA about this. This is bull.

As you can see from the cornucopia of screenshots below, Monopoly looks like it’ll include a bunch of minigames, including what looks like an Operation-styled minigame/organ harvesting simulator with Mr. Moneybags himself.
