There was a rumor going around that Microsoft was set to announce that the Xbox 360 would be incorporating Blu-Ray. According to the rumor, we were to have heard this announcement at noon o’clock EDT (9am PDT). Well, it is now past 1pm EDT, and we did indeed hear an announcement from Microsoft regarding Blu-Ray and the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, that’s where the similarities end because Microsoft’s Robbie Bach announced that there was no announcement, and denied Microsoft’s interest in Blu-Ray on Xbox 360.

Again.

Speaking with the SFGate, Bach told the reporter, nay, the WORLD that Microsoft wasn’t bringing Blu-Ray to the Xbox 360. Bach then sat the reporter down in front of a 60″ flatscreen TV and forced him to watch the 77 other instances where Bach alone said that Blu-Ray wasn’t happening*.

Fanboys, please… I’m begging you… KNOCK IT OFF! Microsoft bet on the wrong horse. Accept it and move on. Hell, Microsoft is probably asking the same thing.
