The mill o’ rumour has been working overtime the past several days over too many subjects to count. One would think that with GDC now behind us, the rumor mill would finally get a chance to take a breather. Unfortunately for the little pixies that keep the rumor mill well greased and maintained, there are still more rumors to… um… mill, I guess.
A forum posting on NeoGAF shows a scanned image from an issue of Famitsu (think Game Informer meets Wizard magazine — in Japan) that looks to have a possible release date for the upcoming PlayStation 3 system seller Metal Gear Solid 4.
June 12th, 2008. Obviously if this were a release date it’d be the Japanese release date, so those of us in the US would probably have to wait another month or so to get our grubby mits on it. (Correction: It’s due for a worldwide release — my bad)
Oh, and before you ask: NO! It doesn’t say anything about the Xbox 360.

In Japan, the standard writing of a date is Year/Month/Day. So, in Japan, today would be 2008/02/23.
While I applaud your efforts to poo on the MGS4 parade, doing a little research (or even looking up freaking Wikipedia) would have saved you a LOT of time.
