UPDATE: BioWare’s Chris Priestly cleared it up on a post at the Mass Effect forums:
Sorry folks this was just a small misunderstanding. Miles did indeed express his interest in working on Mass Effect, but not that Mass Effect was being made for the DS.
It was more of a “I’d like to work on ME someday” the way I might say “I’d love to visit Kuala Lumpur someday”. No biggie, just kind of misquoted.
Well, that’s actually kind of refreshing. Anyways, to the original article.

BioWare’s latest RPG masterpiece, Mass Effect, tested the limits of the Xbox 360 and will make most PCs drop dead at the mere thought of running it properly. So naturally BioWare is looking to bring the franchise to the Nintendo DS.
Speaking with EuroGamer.de (English), BioWare’s Miles Holmes gave the wink and nudge treatment to the seemingly proposterous idea of Mass Effect somehow finding its way to the DS:
We have a lot of big plans for Mass Effect. Having a DS version would be an awesome way to keep interest alive and keep it going in addition to the next [Mass Effect title]
BioWare is already working on a Nintendo DS RPG, Sonic Chronicles, so it’s not entirely implausible that BioWare could make this happen. All the same, though… that would be something to behold.
