Mass Effect 2 is 360 Exclusive — For Now, Anyways

When the Evil Empire snatched up Mass Effect developer BioWare, it was though a million voices cried out in terror, and then were suddenly silenced. Most people thought that, as Electronic Arts has a tendency to whore out their video games to consoles that aren’t even in production anymore (they still make Madden for the GameCube, for Christ sake), BioWare’s Mass Effect would find a home on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, PS2, PSP, DS, GBA, Amiga and C64.

However, as BioWare senior manager Matt Atwood old CVG, that isn’t the case — not yet, anyways:

I believe we’ll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time… We’re still working out the details on that [Xbox 360 exclusivity], but we’ve had a great relationship with Microsoft and done very well.

Atwood continued, pretty much confirming that Mass Effect 2 would be coming to the PC, just as the first one had.

I think you’ll see a PC version not too far away.

See? Now if you can’t wait for Mass Effect 2 to come around (like me), BioWare DID just recently release the ‘Brig Down the Sky’ batch of DLC. That should hold you over for a few days.
