Those of you who were hoping for a KotOR III, as well as those of you who still play Star Wars Galaxies, you better take notice: Electronic Arts and BioWare are working on a Knights of the Old Republic MMORPG.

I bet the fanboy tears taste mighty salty right now.

Portfolio.com recently had the chance to interview resident gaming Sith Lord and EA top dog John Riccitiello, who let slip that Electronic Arts is working on two MMORPGs, including “the one that people are dying for us to talk to them about — in partnership with Lucas, coming out of BioWare.”

Still holding out hope that it’s just speculation? Still thinking that BioWare and LucasArts are teaming up for a Grim Fandango MMO (which would rock)? Well, when asked whether or not the game in question was ‘KotOR Online’, Riccitiello responded with the following:

Yes.

…that was a pointless blockquote, wasn’t it? Anyways, there you go — KotOR MMO is on the way. I’m not entirely sure how the people at LucasArts and BioWare are going to hammer out an entire universe based on a couple of games, but I’ll still eat it up when it’s released in Q4, 20XX.
