When Tomonobu Itagaki quit Tecmo earlier this year, he did so because he felt he was dishonored by his former boss. Now there is a new boss at Tecmo, and soon Tecmo will become bedmates with Dynasty Warriors developer Koei. So you would think that bygones would be bygones, right?

Ha!

Koei president Kenji Matsubara has made it perfectly clear that Tomonobu Itagaki will not be welcome at the new company, saying there was absolutely “no chance” the eccentric game maker would return to the company he helped make famous.

Considering that Itagaki quit was fired left the company in ruin, buried under lawsuits and bad publicity, I’m fairly certain that Itagaki wouldn’t much give a shit. Hell, he’s probably at Konami right now, pitching his new idea for the next Metal Gear game, Metal Gear Gaiden: Xtreme Beach Volleyball.
