I’m not sure why I’m writing this. Odds are if you’re one of the thousands of people who already own Madden NFL 09, you’re playing it right now. So, in all reality, you’re probably going to miss ever seeing this. Anyways, if you are one of the few people who did pick up the game, and are just sickened by the sight of Brett Favre wearing the Packers green and gold, EA has just released an updated cover to slide on into your sleeve that changes Favre’s uniform from green and gold to the green and white sported by New York City’s fifth favorite sports franchise, the New York Jets.
It’s not without a catch, though: If you bought either the Xbox, Wii or DS version of Madden NFL 09, you’re currently SOL. Also, on a personal note: If you bought the Xbox version, you seriously need to make the leap into this generation. Oh, and there’s also a new roster download that’ll put Favre on the Jets. That, it would seem to me, is slightly more important than what color jersey he has on.
