If you’re like Mike and are just dying to get your hands on Guitar Hero: World Tour (*snicker*), then you may want to pay attention because it seems that whatever version of the game you’re out to get, it’s going to cost you a pretty penny… or twenty-four… thousand.
If you don’t want to do the math, let me get to the point: The Deluxe Edition of Guitar Hero: World Tour is going to cost you $240. The regular ol’ edition will run you $190.
So where does the extra $50 come from? A t-shirt, charger, guitar case and key chain. So if you’re a die hard Guitar Hero fanatic like yours truly, then it’s money well spent.
Aren’t interested in the drums? Well, then pick up the game and a guitar for $100 ($90 for PS2) and just be thankful the commercials for World Tour are better than the ones for On Tour.

Personally, I’m forking out the 60 bucks for a game and looking towards getting a standard guitar maybe later. I like my explorer, and I’m not sold on the touchpad gimmick yet. My explorer has held up very well and is entirely responsive in the fretbar, strumbar, and whammy bar. The Les Paul isn’t that great on the fretboard anymore, so I’m thinking about another explorer in the future if not the new guitar when I get some formal reviews.
