If it surprises you that Grand Theft Auto 4 would receive a rating of M for Mature, you’re a moron. Every GTA release has received an M rating*, usually for strong language and animated violence. However, with the impending release of GTA IV and what will surely be the shitstorm that will follow, it’s always important to know why a game is rated what it is rated.

So what has earned GTA IV it’s M Rating?

Partial Nudity? …that’s a new one. I do have to commend Rockstar Games for continuing to push the envelope of what is acceptable in video games with the GTA franchise. While other franchises try to grow more family friendly (Read: Live Free or Die Hard), GTA continues to be a den of sin — and I don’t think we’d have it any other way.
