This Thursday, I finally have a reason to buy Rock Band: At long last, Harmonix will be releasing a patch that will allow the Guitar Hero III wireless guitar to be used with Rock Band.

At long last, I can finally play “Run to the Hills”!

But that’s not all that this new patch has to offer, oh no. In addition to the ability to finally use your GH3 ax, you also get the disc export option that will allow you to transfer the Rock Band songs from the disc to the HDD for play in Rock Band 2.

In addition to this, Harmonix will release a fix for the PAX Track Pack that will allow you to, you know, actually play it. This fix will be available sometime before Thursday.

All in all, this will be a good week for Rock Band fanatics.
