I don’t know how this wound up being a real news story, but apparently there have been rumors that Capcom may bring the graphically impressive but gameplay lacking Devil May Cry 4 to the Nintendo Wii. As it turns out, that’s not going to happen.

Speaking with Crispy Gamer, DMC4 lead producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi flat out said that DMC4 is not happening on the Wii.

You know, a lot of people ask us if we are going to bring out a Wii version. I simply don’t think you can make the game the type of game it is, with the awesome graphics and control — I don’t think that would work on the Wii. So, I don’t think we’re going to bring one out, no.

Now, I’m not one to claim to be able to read people, but this sounds to me like a respectful, professional way of saying “What? What are you, freaking stupid?”

On this note, I have a bit of a bone to pick with Nintendo fanboys: Not every game is going to be coming out as a Wii port. Okay? Just because a bunch of lazy developers threw waggle motions into PS2 games and threw them onto the Wii doesn’t mean that Xbox 360 or PS3 games are going to make that transition.
