EA Patches PS3 Orange Box

hl2-patch.jpg

The Evil Empire today released a ginormous 128MB patch for The Orange Box that takes care of some of the more nagging issues that PS3 owners had complained about… or so we think. You see, neither EA or Valve, Half-Life 2’s original developer, have stated exactly what this patch does.

I would hope that this patch helps with the poor loading times and framerate issues. Perhaps it will also help with connectivity with EA’s servers (so you can actually play Team Fortress 2).

If any of you readers know what this patch does, feel free to leave a comment. I haven’t noticed any framerate improvements — but then again, I always figured Half-Life 2 ran fine on my PS3.
