E3: Rock Band 2 Will Ultimately Have 500+ Songs

Can’t put Rock Band down, can you? Hoping that Rock Band 2 will finally make you stop playing through “Run to the Hills”? Yeah, well… too bad. You see, it was announced at Microsoft’s press conference that every single Rock Band track will be playable in Rock Band 2. That not only includes every downloadable track that you’ve purchased off either PSN or XBL, but also every single track on the original Rock Band disc!

Unfortunately, bringing all your Rock Band songs to RB2 won’t be free. It’ll still be pretty cheap at “under $5″, but it won’t be free. Still, though, it has become apparent that Harmonix won’t be happy until every song ever recorded is playable in their games.
