Okay, so maybe Bungie wasn’t jokin’ when they said that their publisher, Microsoft, put the kibash on their big announcement. What makes matters worse is that Microsoft, rather than allowing Bungie to hype up the big ol’ announcement on their splash page, went the anti-climatic route and just… told us.

Well, they told MTV, actually. Speaking with MTVMultiplayer, Microsoft’s Don Mattrick confirmed that Bungie is, indeed, working on a new Halo.

If this turns out to be the rumored Halo tactical shooter that has been rumored, I’ll be pleased. If this turns out to be, oh, Halo 4, I may weep.
