E3: Microsoft Cancelled Bungie Announcement Due to Time Constraints?!

I guess the big Bungie announcement was bigger than I had thought, as the L.A. Times has now started looking into the matter. What did they find? Well, according to the L.A. Times, who spoke with Microsoft’s Don Mattrick, the announcement was cut because it would have made the event go too long. Mattrick explains:

We had an embarassment of riches. We felt we could do this game more justice with a more dedicated event.

…wow. Just… just wow, man… let me explain something to you all real quick, okay? Do you remember the scene in “Ghostbusters” where Gozer asks Ray if he is a God? Well, when Bungie says they’re working on a new game… you tell us!
