Everyone’s always focused on the PlayStation 3 when it comes to Sony, but let’s not forget that the PlayStation 2 is still going strong. This might not be the optimal console for the hardcore gamer, but for a casual gamer or family, the PS2 is still the best system out their, in my honest opinion.
Moments ago, Sony announced that this fall, they’ll be offering a limited edition bungle for the PlayStation 2 – the LEGO Batman bundle. Not only will you get the game and console, but you’ll also get Justice League: New Frontier on DVD. The bundle will cost $149.
Smart move – right now the PlayStation 2 can’t compete with the Wii, but by introducing a kid-friendly bundle this fall, they’ll hopefully entice a few parents into purchasing the system for Christmas. At less than a buck fifty, its super affordable for almost any family’s budget for Christmas and you aren’t going to have to go out and buy a ton of peripherals just to get started. I predict that a lot of families thinking about a Wii will consider this bundle instead.
