E3: Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox 360 in “English Speaking territories” only

At the Square Enix press conference, Square Enix executive Shinji Hashimoto clarified a few comments made by Square Enix at Microsoft’s press conference a couple of hours earlier. During Microsoft’s press conference, it was announced that Final Fantasy XIII would be coming to the Xbox 360 “in North America and Europe”. No mention of Japan. Why is that?

Because it’s not coming out for the Xbox 360 in Japan. Furthermore, Final Fantasy XIII will be released in Japan first, then localized for the US and Europe (naturally), so technically XIII will be a Japanese-only, PS3 exclusive for quite a while before we finally get our paws on it.

But we will get our paws on it.
