Discuss DRM and Get Banned from Spore Message Boards

Yes, I am in love with this image.

Since they’re being sued, I guess EA just doesn’t care anymore. Now moderators are actually threatening to ban members of the official Spore message board if they speak of the game’s DRM. Don’t believe me? Here’s what one Spore mod had to say after locking a thread asking about the DRM:

SecuROM as been discussed and discussed so much and it causes arguments in threads. If you want to talk about DRM SecuROM then please use another fansite forum. If there is any change you will be able to read it on the official Spore site.

Please do not continue to post theses thread or you account may be at risk of banning which in some cases would mean you would need to buy a new copy to play Spore.

Now, another moderator came in later to clear things up a little, saying there was a “mis-communication”, but all the same. This sounds like nothing more than a case of e-toughness. I’ve seen it on just about every message board imaginable, where one moderator gets a big head and all of a sudden he thinks he’s king of the fuckin’ mountain.
