DC Universe Online Could Be Released ‘Late 2009/Early 2010′

Deep down I am a nerd for MMOs. Before I got into, and eventually turned away from World of Warcraft, my very essence belonged to that damned Dark Age of Camelot… I miss my Viking. Anyways, now I’m psyched for both Star Trek Online and DC Universe Online. While we know very little about either, we do know one thing: DCUO is apparently slated for a “late 2009/early 2010″ release.

Speaking with MTV News’ Jennifer Vineyard, acclaimed comic book writer Geoff Johns let the lovely nugget of information slip that we could see DCUO by the end of next year:

It launches I think in early 2010, it could be late 2009. I’ve written the overall story and the path that gets you into the game and the areas of the universe and how to explore them, but not every line of dialogue. That’s a fulltime job, it’s too frigging big, too intense to write every line of an MMO. I’d probably jump off a building.

I can hardly wait. After all, I’m looking forward to storming the Batcave.
