It’s too early in the day for me to care, but here goes: Blizzard has launched their latest splash screen, and it all but confirms my theory from yesterday: It’s WoW related. Seriously, take a look for yourself:

If you can’t see the face in the center clearly, here:

The image as a whole has changed very little. Yes, the eyes and general facial features have become more prominent, and the runes are also very clear to see in this latest image. But let’s focus on the face. As I said yesterday, the eyes belonged to Arthas, also known as this guy:

See? Now I’m not going to say I told you so… yet. Blizzard has a way of leading people left before juking right and making everybody look stupid, and I’m not about to be caught with my pants around my ankles, so we’ll just wait and see.

On a semi-related note, the image with the LOST Vikings inspired numbering is complete, and it… is an evil purple penguin. Take that for what you will. I’ve already heard one crackpot theorist say that the Mr. Burns lookin’ purple penguin is holding three fingers out, which is a sign that Blizzard is talking about Diablo III… oi.
