Best of the Rest: November 24th, 2008

Well we’re back from VGXPO — I (JW) will be home tomorrow. We met some awesome people, saw some cool things, and most of all learned that after twelve to fourteen hours of being on your feet, even the most comfortable of shoes feel like sharp, heavy razor blades.

  • Fable II’s Big Announcement? Knothole Island DLC. – Joystiq
  • 25 laid off at Gearbox Software, but the company insists that Aliens has not been canceled – The Feed
  • Xbox 360 now officially more popular, successful and sexier than Xbox – Shacknews
  • Funcom said to have laid off several US workers – Gamasutra
  • Harmonix, MTV dismiss latest Rock Band lawsuit as “baseless” – Shacknews
  • Do you want Mario to call your parents and tell them what you want for Christmas? Yeah, neither do we — but we now have the option – Destructoid
  • You want Homeworld 3? Well, Relic isn’t saying no to the idea – Eurogamer
  • Yay to a semi-successful day back on the site. Tomorrow I spend most of my afternoon and evening flying, so don’t expect too much from ol’ JW. Instead, be sure to sit back, relax, enjoy time with your family, prepare the Thanksgiving Day activities and rejoice in the knowledge that, come Thursday, you and me and everyone else in the United States will be united in one common cause:

    Watching the Lions lose.

…if you live in Canada, you’re welcome to come chill at my place.
