Considering how successful The Dark Knight has been in theatres, it shouldn’t seem all that shocking that we would see a new Batman game. If you are a subscriber to Game Informer, odds are you’ve already read their cover story on the just revealed Batman: Arkham Asylum, but if you haven’t, allow me to break the news to you: There’s going to be a new Batman game called Batman: Arkham Asylum. Nifty, eh?
Okay, okay. A few details: You play as Batman (duh), and from the press release issued by Eidos, it sounds like the entire game will take place inside Arkham Asylum. I won’t say anything about the game because so little is known, but in this day and age where you can do almost anything, why confine Batman to a single building? Sure, Arkham is a BIG building, and the mechanic has been shown to work in games like The Suffering, but still.
Also, the game is due on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC sometime in 2009. I did say “details”, which implies plural, and now there are two.
