A few weeks ago we had a story in which it was reported that Fallout 3 would have 200 endings. At the time I was both excited at the idea of having so many possible endings, and sad that I was looking at another 300 hours of my life gone down the toilet as I hole myself up and play this damned game.

Well, now it seems that 200 may have been a little short. By more than half. In actuality, there will be over 500 endings in Fallout 3. Now, before you go and cry I want to reassure you that it’s not as bad as you think. While there will be around 12 or 13 different true endings, the 500 number is more or less a number for ending variants. It’s kind of Bethesda’s way to ensure that no game ever plays out the exact same way twice.

So take a deep breath, count to ten and relax. It worked for me.
